Assistant Coach Competes in Hawaii Ironman Competition

Kona, Hawaii -- Cross country assistant coach Warren Sutton completed the Hawaii Ironman in 10:23:59 on October 18th. His time was good for an overall finish of 426th, placing him in the top third of all finishers.

The triathlon, which involved a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and a 26.2 mile run, featured over 1500 competitors who finished the ultimate endurance test.

Sutton is in his first season as the assistant coach of LMU cross country. He earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry from LMU in 2003, after competing as a four-year letterwinner for the Lions.
