Hall of Fame:


A lifetime supporter of Loyola Marymount University Athletics, Albert Gersten, II becomes the second benefactor to be inducted into the LMU Athletics Hall of Fame. A 1974 graduate of LMU, his major gift led to the Jan. 15, 1981 opening of Gersten Pavilion, the home of LMU men's and women's basketball and volleyball. The Pavilion was named in honor of Albert Gersten, the father of Albert Gersten, II. Gersten, II has served on the Athletics Director's Council and the Board of Regents, financed a state-of-the-art scoreboard featuring scoring systems for both water polo and swimming at the Burns Aquatics Center in 2001, and has remained an active supporter and avid fan throughout the years.
