Vide was definitely one of the biggest players on the basketball court for the Lions or their opponents as he starred at Center with a height of 6-6. He scored 265 points in just 21 games of the 1938-39 season, and was a leader for Coach and Hall of Famer Jimmy Needles' teams that won 31 games and lost just 15 from 1937 until 1939. He was the Center of a team that included such stars as Pete Newell, Phil Woolpert, and Scotty McDonald, to name just a few.
