Maybe the best Fullback in Loyola University Football History, "Socko," as he was nicknamed, ranked ninth in the nation in Rushing (881yards) and scored 12 Touchdowns as a Junior in 1949, and was named Helms Athletic Foundation "Athlete of the Month" for November of that year. In one game that year, against Arizona State, he rushed 32 times for 227 yards and three touchdowns, gettingthat many touchdowns in All-Coast that season. As a Senior, he rushed for 886 yards (17th in the nation in that category in 1950) and set an NCAA record with 45 rushing attempts in one game, a mark that stood for a decade. Versatile talent, Musacco also handled the Lions punting duties.
