2016... made 13 appearances and six starts... pitched to a 2-5 record and a 4.06 ERA over 51 innings... struck out 34 to just nine walks... made four appearances and one start in WCC play, logging a 3.18 ERA over 11.1 innings... struck out seven WCC batters while walking just one... stingy with two out, limiting opposition to just a .167 average against... averaged just 1.59 walks-per-game while posting a 3.78 strikeout-to-walk ratio... quality start at CSU Bakersfield (6.0 IP | 1 ER | 3 SO)... dealt 8.1 innings and picked up the win vs. CSUB on 4/26, allowing three earned runs with six strikeouts... pitched well but took the loss in his first start vs. #21 USC on 2/23... 6.1 innings pitched, allowing just one run on six hits with four strikeouts vs. Gonzaga on 5/14... earned the save at FIU on 3/6...

2015... made 11 appearances and nine starts as a sophomore... pitched to a 2-2 record and a 4.81 ERA over 43 innings of work... struck out 15 hitters... limited opponents to a .213 leadoff percentage... turned in a stellar first start, but ultimately took a no-decision after throwing 5.0 scoreless innings at San Diego State on 2/17... earned the victory over UC Riverside on 2/24 after tossing 6.0 innings and limiting the Highlanders to two earned runs with three strikeouts... guided LMU to a 1-0 shutout victory at Grand Canyon on 3/31, tossing 7.0 innings and allowing five hits...

2014... went 4-5 with a 4.37 ERA over 12 appearances and eight starts for the Lions as a freshman... tossed 47.1 innings... collegiate debut came against #11 Oregon on 2/21 (0.2 IP | 2 H | R)... earned the victory in a 13-inning 12-11 win over CSUN on 3/5 (2.0 IP | H | 2 BB | 4 K)... got his first career start at USC on 3/11 (L | 3.1 IP | 4 H | 2 ER | 2 BB)... earned the victory over #21 UC Irvine on 4/15 (5.0 IP | 0 R | 3 H | BB)... tossed season-high 6.1 scoreless innings and earned the victory on 4/29 against San Diego State (2 H | 3 BB | 2 K)... did not appear in a regular-season West Coast Conference game, but did start the 2014 WCC Championship game against Pepperdine... allowed just a .185 batting average with runners on and two out...

A 2013 graduate of Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif... prepped under head coach Chris Romero... served as team captain in his senior season... named All-League and All-American honorable mention as a senior... named Los Osos High School Pitcher of the Year and third team All-California... finished his senior season with a 2.24 ERA with 10 wins...

Brenton Andrew Arriaga was born May 31, 1995 in Fontana, Calif... son of Karen Molina and Eleno Arriaga... father played basketball at Citrus College... has one brother, Cole... also considered Stanford, Santa Clara, and Washington, but chose LMU because of the great reputation of the baseball program, the campus' great location, and academics... a sociology major.
