Bret Dahlson is in his fourth season with LMU baseball... enters the year ranked second in LMU history for saves (18), just four shy of matching the LMU record...

AT LMU
2013... named to NCBWA Stopper of the Year list... was LMU's primary closer as a junior... recorded a 2-4 record with a 3.58 ERA and seven saves... made 23 relief appearances with 27.2 innings pitched... the 23 appearances were the second-most on the team... struck out 23 hitters... recorded a 1.77 strikeout/walk ratio... batters hit only .256 with runners in scoring position... opponents hit just .208 with the bases empty... recorded victories over Gonzaga (3/28) and Cal State Northridge (4/2) in back-to-back appearances... posted a pair of saves in the series against San Francisco...

2012... used primarily as LMU's closer as a sophomore... pitched to a 3-3 record with a 2.94 ERA and 11 saves... 11 saves were second-most in LMU history for a single season... made 26 relief appearances to the tune of 33.2 innings... struck out 30 hitters over the span... offensively he hit .182 over 11 at bats... managed three RBI despite the limited opportunities... pitched to a 2-1 record and a 2.65 ERA against WCC opponents... recorded seven saves in WCC play... struck out 16 WCC hitters in 17 innings of work... left-handed hitters batted just .182 against him... earned his first career save in his first opportunity on February 19... recorded first victory of the year on March 4 at UCSB, tossing two innings... appeared in all three games against Saint Mary's, posting two saves to help LMU to a series sweep... recorded the save at Cal State Northridge on April 3 - his third in as many games... notched sixth save of the year on April 14 vs. San Francisco... recorded a save at Gonzaga on April 27 before earning a victory in the final game against the Zags on April 29...

2011... finished his first year at LMU batting .246 with 14 runs scored, seven doubles, two home runs and 15 RBI... swiped two bases in three attempts... collected seven multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games... recorded first career hit on February 19 at UC Riverside in the first game of a doubleheader... posted first career RBI in the second game that day... garnered West Coast Conference Player of the Week on March 8, batting .400 for the week, finishing 6-for-15 with two runs scored, a pair of doubles, a home run and five RBI... first career multi-hit game came on March 1 at No. 7 Cal State Fullerton, finishing 2-for-3 with a run scored... hit his first career home run on March 3 versus Hawai'i... went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a double against Hawai'i on March 5... batted 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and a RBI against No. 14 UC Irvine on March 19... posted a pair of RBI against USC on April 5... batted 3-for-4 with a run scored, two RBI and two doubles on April 16 versus Gonzaga... batted 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a double against Cal State Bakersfield on May 8...
