2016... named a semifinalist for the 2016 Gregg Olson Breakout Player of the Year presented by Toolshed Sports after hitting a team-best .325 with 29 runs scored, 17 doubles, a triple, six homers and 41 RBI... second team All-West Coast Conference selection... played in all 53 games for the Lions, starting 52 behind the plate... drew 18 walks and seven hit-by-pitches while also stealing four bases... threw out 32% of potential base stealers... led the team with 23 multi-hit games, managing multiple hits in 14 of his final 30... belted half of his six homers in WCC play, posting 17 RBI against conference foes... listed on the Johnny Bench Award Watch List... Cassidy Gorman Brown was born July 21, 1994 in Columbus, Ohio... son of Suzanne and Scott Brown... has two sisters, Claire and Audrey... father played football at Baldwin Wallace College, while his mother competed in tennis at Endicott College... also considered Kent State University, Michigan, Elon, and Ole Miss, but chose LMU because of the academics, the willingness of the coaches to help him be the best he can be, and the Los Angeles area has always been a dream for him... a business marketing major.
