2012... batted .203 over 27 games played and 19 starts... collected seven runs scored, two doubles and two RBI... also drew seven walks and stole one base... hit .321 (9-for-28) with runners on base and .313 with runners in scoring position... scored first collegiate run on February 25 vs. Cal Poly... first three hits of career came vs. Indiana on March 16, going 3-for-5 with a RBI... went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a pair of doubles and one RBI on March 30 vs. Saint Mary's... notched first four-hit game of his career against San Francisco on April 14, going 4-for-5 with a run scored...

A 2011 graduate of Foothill High School in Santa Ana, Calif... two-year varsity letterwinner for Head Coach Gary Fishel... garnered All-League as a senior... batted .408 with 35 runs scored, 13 doubles, two triples, three home runs and 29 RBI as a senior... stole 13 bases in his final campaign... named Team MVP and awarded Coaches Award as a senior... also played football in high school...

David Wayne Edwards was born January 22, 1993 in Orange, Calif... son of Kristi and Dave Edwards... father played baseball at Oregon State University... has one sister, Jaquilyn, and one brother, Jay... chose LMU because of the outstanding academics offered and to be a part of the collegiate baseball team... chose LMU over Chapman, Stanford, Holy Cross, Bucknell, Washington, and USF... a business major.
