Jon Higashi enters his final season with the Lions... a four-year, all-league catcher who coaches view as the rock of the team... will be a strong honors candidate again this season... has been a model of consistency for the program throughout career... received the O'Toole Award in the Alaska League this summer after demonstrating long-time Coach Jack O'Toole's sense of leadership and extra effort... recorded 38 hits and tied for first on the team with 19 RBI in the Alaska League before being picked up by the Las Vegas Devils for the trip to the NBC World Series... selected to the 2004 preseason All-Conference team at catcher and as the best defensive catcher and catcher with the best arm in the WCC by Baseball America...

AT LMU...
