2012... made 12 appearances, including one start, as a freshman... pitched to a 0-1 record and a 9.31 ERA... left-hander logged 9.2 innings and struck out six... made two relief appearances in WCC play, tossing 1.2 scoreless innings of work... held WCC opponents to a .200 average... left-handed hitters were 3-for-13 (.231) against him on the year... collegiate debut came on February 24 vs. Cal Poly... got the start on a "staff day" and took the loss against Cal State Northridge on March 20...

A 2011 graduate of Woodbridge High School in Irvine, Calif... three-year varsity letterwinner for head coach Jim Murray... served as team captain as a senior... named All-City as a junior and senior... an All-Area and All-CIF selection after his senior campaign... helped his team to a runner-up finish in the CIF playoffs in 2011... MVP of the Pacific Coast League as a senior... hit .436 with 24 runs scored, 25 RBI, six doubles, five triples and two home runs as a senior... pitched to a 0.93 ERA over 82.2 innings of work as a senior... hit .312 with 20 runs scored and 10 RBI as a junior... also played basketball in high school...
