Current 2005 season... picked up first win of the season after working 5.2 innings, striking out six against San Diego on March 20... 2004...selected as the WCC's No. 5 prospect by Baseball America before opting to use his redshirt year... made his season debut and got the win, retiring all four batters he faced in 5-4 win over USD on 3/5... 2003...led the team in ERA (3.81), complete games (2) and strikeouts (84) ... finished with record of 5-6... earned WCC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 25 after no-hitting CSUN for 4.1 IP during first start of the season to move to 1-2 on the year... earned a save against Cal Poly (2/22) retiring final four batters in an 11-9 victory... threw a complete-game shutout over UCLA to earn his second consecutive victory, while striking out eight and walking just one (the first complete-game shutout since Justin Abreu blanked UCSB on May 9, 2000 and the first complete-game shutout by a Lion in Page Stadium since March 24, 1996, when Lucas Fitzgerald downed Portland 3-0)... earned his third save of the season retiring the final two batters of an 8-5 win over UCSB (3/9)... earned his third straight win as a starter, moving to 3-2 on the season pitching five innings, allowing five runs on six hits, while striking out six during a 15-5 win over Portland (3/15)... picked up fourth save of the season throwing a perfect ninth inning, with a strikeout, during a 3-2 win over No. 5 CS Fullerton (3/19)... held USD to just one run on five hits in 6.2 innings on March 29... allowed just one run on six hits in 6.1 IP in a 4-1 win over Saint Mary's (4/5)... pitched well against Gonzaga in the first game of a double header, lasting eight innings, allowing two earned runs on two hits, while leaving the game with a 3-2 lead... picked up the win against Portland on May 16, allowing three runs in 7 IP, while striking out seven... 2002... finished with a 9.27 ERA and record of 3-6 with 76.2 innings pitched... went four innings, allowed a run on two hits against UCSB (2/1)... earned first start of career against CSUN (2/5) and went 5.0 innings with four runs on four hits and three strikeouts... picked up first win against San Diego State... went eight innings and earned win against USF in game one, allowing just four runs on five hits... pitched in every game of the week, going 1.2 innings against Long Beach State (4/30) and 2.1 innings in three games against USD (5/3-5)...

A 2001 graduate of Palm Desert High School in Palm Desert, CA... finished with a 3.2 grade point average... a three-year letterwinner in baseball and a two-year letterwinner in football... played for baseball coach Daral Salazar... was a first-team Desert Valley selection his sophomore, junior and senior seasons... earned All-Palm Desert City honors and All-Coachella Valley honors his final three years... was an All-State Junior Class Division III selection and a Division III first-team All-CIF selection his junior season... earned all-city, all-area and all-conference honors his junior season in football...

Kyle Paige Gibbs Huddy was born on June 13, 1983, in Palm Springs, CA... son of JoAnna and Ken Huddy... has two sisters, Sylvia and Noelle... father played collegiate hockey in 1969-70... also recruited by Cal, Pepperdine, San Francisco and Arizona State...a business major.
