A 2009 graduate of Chino Hills High School in Chino Hills, Calif... earned two varsity letters for coach Kyle Billingsley... served as team captain in his senior year... garnered All-League recognition as a junior and senior... named All-CIF as a senior... member of the 2009 Senior Inland Valley All-Star game... batted .449 with six home runs, 27 RBI, four triples and 11 doubles as a senior... scored 33 runs and swiped seven bases in his final season...
Matthew Eugene Lowenstein was born May 3, 1991 in Chino, Calif... son of Laura and Steven Lowenstein... has one brother, Dylan... recruited by UC Riverside and Cal State Fullerton, but chose LMU because of the coaching staff and the great educational opportunity... a sociology major.
