Patrick McGrath is in his second season with LMU baseball after transferring from Southwestern Community College... took home honorable mention All-WCC honors as a junior... earned first team All-Pacific Coast Conference honors in 2012 and honorable mention honors in 2011 at Southwestern...

2013... honorable mention All-WCC in his first season with the Lions... made 14 appearances, starting 12 games... finished with an overall record of 5-2 with a 2.43 ERA, the second-best mark on the team and seventh-best in LMU history for a single-season... the five victories matched the high-water mark for the Lions, while his 5-2 record was the best amongst Lions with at least two decisions... struck out 55 and only walked 16 in 74 innings (3.44 strikeout/walk ratio)... held opponents to a .234 average against... 3-1 record and a team-best 1.38 ERA in WCC play... first career victory came over Long Beach State on 3/12 (5.2 IP, 3 H, ER, 2 K)... earned the victory over 2013 National Champion UCLA on the road on 4/14 (5.0 IP, 3 H, R, BB, 3 K)... career-high 8.0 IP with career-best nine strikeouts at San Francisco on 4/21... carried a no-hitter through two out in 7th at USF... pitched a complete game against Santa Clara, allowing only four hits, one earned run, and no walks while striking out six batters... held opponents to a .179 average with runners on and two out...

2012... earned first team All-Pacific Coast Conference honors... made 14 appearances and 13 starts, going 5-8 with nine complete games and a 2.79 ERA... tossed a team-high 100 innings while striking out 66 hitters (5.94 per game)... strung together seven consecutive complete games from March 13 to April 27...

2011... garnered honorable mention All-Pacific Coast League honors... posted a 2.06 ERA and a 5-2 record as a freshman... made a team-high 24 appearances... notched five saves over 48 innings of work with a complete game... limited opponents to a .242 batting average against while striking out 29 and walking only 12...

A 2010 graduate of Hilltop High School in Chula Vista, Calif... a four-year varsity letterwinner playing for Kurt Gritts... served as team captain in his junior and senior years... All-Mesa League selection in his final two campaigns... also competed in football...

Patrick Paul McGrath was born October 15, 1991 in San Diego, Calif... son of Melissa and Patrick McGrath... has one sister, Chelsey... elected to transfer to LMU over San Diego State, University of Arkansas and Indiana State because it is a very good academic university and it has a great baseball program... a communications major.
