At LMU... 2005... a first-team All-WCC selection who was among the frontrunners for WCC Player of the Year... finished hitting .329 with a team-high slugging percentage of .553... was the only Lion to start all 58 games in 2005... led the team with 44 RBI, 121 total bases, 21 stolen bases, and 62 runs scored... tied for the team lead with 20 doubles and nine home runs... led the Lions to wins over top-ranked Cal State Fullerton and Portland and was named WCC Player of the Week on April 11... went 8-for-18 that week, tallying nine RBI, with six runs scored, two doubles, a triple, a grand slam, and two stolen bases against Fullerton and Portland... also named WCC Player of the Week on May 3 for the second time in four weeks after the Lions' wins over 21st-ranked USC and Pepperdine... went 8-for-15 against USC and Pepperdine at the plate with three RBI, six runs scored, and three doubles on the week...2004... hit .309 in WCC play... tallied seven doubles in 151 at bats... had 41 hits on the season, with a .380 on-base percentage... was 4-for-6 in stolen base attempts... 2003... named the WCC/Rawlings co-Player of the Week on Feb. 11... finished season with a .328 average with 36 runs and 29 RBI, along with 18 doubles and 17 stolen bases... posted an 11-game hitting streak during March...
High School... a 2002 graduate of San Dimas High School in San Dimas, CA... graduated with a 3.9 grade point average... led his summer team to the 2001 Colt World Series Championship... awarded the Mr. Clutch award as a junior... a two-time Academic All-Valle Vista League selection... named 2002 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year... voted team MVP as a senior, while earning second-team All-CIF in 2002...

Christopher Michael Pettit was born August 15, 1984, in Pasadena, CA, to Sandra and Michael Pettit... has one younger sister, Allison, who also attends LMU... father was a college baseball athlete at Occidental College from 1967-70... was also recruited by Long Beach State and Purdue, but chose LMU for its academics and baseball... major is sociology.
