Anthony Santana is in his final season with the Lions... worked hard in the weight room and was able to improve his strength... coaches feel he had a nice season in 2003 with his bat... will bring leadership to this year's squad and compete for time in the outfield and at designated hitter...

Had 25 hits and four doubles in 89 at bats... played in 35 games for the Lions, making 23 starts as the Lions' DH... went 3-for-4 with one RBI and two runs scored in 12-10 win over San Diego on 3/20... hit first collegiate homerun, a two-run shot over the wall in left centerfield in conclusion of 8-5 suspended game against New Mexico State on 3/22... had a huge three-RBI double to right center field in the breakthrough sixth inning for the Lions to lead LMU to the 12-7 comeback win over Santa Clara on 4/18... went 2-for-4 with one RBI in 7-0 shutout of San Francisco on 4/25... went 3-for-4 with one run scored in 7-3 win over Pepperdine on 4/30... 2003... started as the Lions' DH in 11-9 victory over Cal Poly (2/22) and a 3-1 win over Portland (5/17)... played both left and right field during a pair of wins over Portland (3/15-16)... finished 1-for-20 (.050) on the season, with two RBI and a pinch-hit base hit against UCSB (3/8)... 2002... hitting .364 through first five games... went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in 7-5 win over UCSB (2/2)... had career-high three RBI and four putouts against CS Fullerton... went 1-for-1 with two runs scored and two walks against USC... was 1-for-2 in pinch hit situations against SMC... was 3-for-9 in four game week against Pepperdine and Long Beach State, including 2-for-2 effort against Pepperdine (4/12)... 2001... redshirted his true freshman season...
