a 2009 graduate of Stevenson School in Carmel, Calif... earned four varsity letters for coach Paul Wilcox... served as team captain in his senior year... garnered All-League and All-City honors in each of his final three seasons of play... named All-Area as a junior and senior... batted .500 with a .725 on-base percentage as a sophomore... hit .467 and reached base at a .680 clip as a junior... collected a .483 batting average and a .705 on-base percentage in his final campaign... named Most Valuable Player as a junior... garnered the Top Hitter award after his sophomore and junior seasons... earned All-County recognition in each of his final two seasons... recruited by Santa Clara, San Jose State and UC Santa Barbara, but chose LMU because of the educational and athletic opportunities... also competed in basketball in high school...
