Seaver Joshua Whalen was born February 5, 1995 in Clackamas, Ore... son of Lisa Osborn and Shawn Whalen... mother played basketball and volleyball at College of Southern Idaho and the University of Utah... father played baseball at College of Southern Idaho and Portland State before playing in the San Diego Padres organization... stepmother, Jaymi, played volleyball at Clark College... has a stepfather, Larry... has three brothers, Caleb, Brady and Crosby, and one sister, Grace... Caleb plays baseball at the University of Portland... chose to come to LMU because of the great baseball program with a great coaching staff, the academics, and he has always wanted to play and go to a school in sunny California... a communications major.
