John Tewhill is in his first season with LMU baseball...

High School
a 2009 graduate of Marin Catholic High School in Kentfield, Calif... earned three varsity letters for coach Mike Firenzi... served as team captain in his senior year... garnered All-League recognition as a junior... posted a combined 12-4 record in high school... tossed 94 innings and struck out 90 hitters while maintaining a 2.35 ERA in his junior and senior years combined... helped his team to the MCAL Championship as a sophomore and junior... earned the victory in the 2008 MCAL Championship game... named Most Inspirational Player as a senior... recruited by University of San Francisco and Cal Poly, but chose LMU because of the opportunity to continue to play baseball, the location, and the student population size... also competed in football in high school...
