Trevor Megill is in his fourth season with LMU baseball, but holds junior eligibility after utilizing a medical redshirt in 2014... was drafted in the third round of the 2014 MLB Draft despite not appearing in a game for the Lions that year... graduated a semester early out of high school to attend LMU for the 2012 baseball season... garnered honorable mention All-WCC and All-Freshman team honors in 2012...

AT LMU
2014... elected to return to LMU after being drafted in the third round of the 2014 MLB Draft (Cardinals | 104th overall) despite not appearing in a game for the Lions... third-round selection was the highest for LMU since 2000... had off-season Tommy John surgery before the year, but scouts got a glimpse of his post-surgery abilities after he began to throw bullpens late in the season...

2013... preseason All-WCC selection... made seven starts and eight appearances as a sophomore... finished the season with a 3-3 record and 2.72 ERA... tossed 43 innings and struck out 45 hitters with only 11 walks (4.09 strikeout/walk ratio)... held opponents to a .188 batting average... named WCC Pitcher of the Week on 2/18 after tossing career-high tying seven two-hit innings and striking out 11 against Utah on 2/16... collected a victory over #26 Oklahoma State on 3/9 (5.0 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 5 K)... earned a victory at Saint Mary's on 3/23 (7.0 IP, 3 H, R, 3 K, 75 Pitches)... earned the victory over #21 Gonzaga on 3/30 (6.1 IP, 6 H, 2 R 0 ER, BB, K)... pitched to a 2.29 ERA over four starts in WCC play... opponents hit just .133 in 15 at bats with runners in scoring position and two out...

2012... earned a spot on the honorable mention All-WCC and All-Freshman team... posted a 5-8 record and a 3.57 ERA over 15 starts and 90.2 innings of work serving as LMU's Saturday starter... led the team in strikeouts with 82... finished 4-3 with a 3.48 ERA over eight starts and 51.2 innings of work against WCC opponents... pitched to a 1.29 WHIP and 8.14 strikeouts per nine innings over the course of the season... held opponents to a .246 average against, including a .231 average from left-handed hitters... opponents hit just .235 with the bases empty... tossed 16.2 scoreless innings from March 24 to April 6... tossed six innings in each of his first two starts... took losses in his first two starts despite surrendering just one earned run over six innings in each... earned first victory of career after tossing six innings and allowing just two earned runs against Indiana on March 16 in first game of DH... recorded a no decision after tossing six scoreless innings and allowing just two hits with seven strikeouts on March 24 at Nevada... earned a victory over Saint Mary's on March 31 after tossing seven shutout innings with five strikeouts and no walks in a 2-1 LMU victory... earned a victory at BYU on April 6 after throwing 6.2 innings and striking out seven... earned a victory over San Francisco on April 14, tossing 6.1 innings and allowing just two runs while striking out six... tossed seven scoreless innings and allowed just four hits with eight strikeouts at Gonzaga on April 28... tossed seven strong innings en route to a victory at No. 18 San Diego on May 12... struck out a career-best 12 and did not walk a batter against the Toreros in that game...

A 2011 graduate of Bixby Charter School... before electing to attend Bixby Charter School, spent one year at Orange Lutheran High School and two years at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, Calif... pitched to a 1.35 ERA and a 7-2 record as a junior... held opponents to a .180 batting average against over 52 innings... punched out 61 hitters... tossed one ho-hitter and two shutouts in high school... two-year participant in Area Code Games... appeared in 2010 Perfect Game National Games... also competed in water polo and football in high school...

Trevor J. Megill was born December 5, 1993 in Long Beach, Calif... son of Julie and Kevin Megill... father was a rower... brother, Tylor, also plays baseball at LMU... has one sister, Ryleigh... chose LMU because he loved the campus and the area, the baseball coaches are amazing, and he had friends that committed to LMU... chose LMU over Oregon... a marketing major.
