BRIEFLY AT LMU 2009... was expected to be LMU's Friday starter before suffering an injury early in the season... utilized medical redshirt... prior to the injury, appeared in and started three games... posted a 7.11 ERA and did not factor in a decision... pitched only 6.1 innings and struck out four... made the start in LMU's season-opener on February 20 versus Utah before pitching only an inning as a starter and exiting due to injury in back-to-back games against Long Beach State and Holy Cross on February 25 and 28... 2008... made 10 starts for the Lions as a freshman... finished the year with a 3-6 record and a 6.26 ERA... posted a team-high tying 55 strikeouts in 54.2 innings of work... notched a season-high 13 strikeouts in his collegiate debut against UC Santa Barbara on March 1... posted 10 punch outs en route to his first collegiate victory on March 8 versus San Diego State... dealt five or more innings in eight of his 10 starts on the year, including six or more in six of those eight... pitched a season-high 7.1 innings and allowed just one run on three hits against Portland on March 29... recorded victories over San Diego State, California on March 15 and Santa Clara on May 2... named to Baseball America's "Top Newcomers" list for the West Coast Conference... named to Cape Cod League All-Star Team en route to finishing the summer with a 2-2 record and a 3.75 ERA... pitched 36 innings and struck out 23 hitters...
