ERA was fifth-best single-season mark in LMU history... struck out 64 batters in 78.1 innings, the second-most innings pitched by a Lion in 2013... held opponents to a .223 batting average... held leadoff hitters to a .208 batting average... held batters to a .200 average with runners in scoring position and .182 with the bases loaded... pitched to a 3-2 record in WCC play... did not allow an earned run over 42.1 innings from 2/15-3/22... earned a victory over #14 Oregon on 2/22 (6 IP, 4 H, 9 K)... nine strikeouts were a career-high... tossed a complete game two-hit shutout against Hawai'i on 2/28 (9.0 IP, 2 H, 6 K, 95 pitches) and faced just one over the minimum... strung together 21 scoreless innings of work from 2/15-3/8... earned a victory over Pepperdine on 3/15 (7.1 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 6 K)... earned a victory over Saint Mary's on 3/22 (7.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 6 K)... posted 16.1 consecutive scoreless innings of work from 3/8-3/22... was outstanding against #23 San Diego in a 4-0 shutout victory (8.0 IP, 6 H, BB, 9 K)... nine strikeouts matched a career-high...

2012... finished with a 7-4 record and a 3.87 ERA in 15 starts serving as LMU's Friday starter... tossed 95.1 innings, including one complete game... combined on a pair of shutouts... struck out 66 hitters to only 14 walks for a stellar 4.7 strikeout-to-walk ratio... pitched to a 4-3 record in WCC play... WHIP for the entire 2012 season was an impressive 1.29, averaging just 1.32 walks per nine innings... posted first career complete game on May 11 at then-No. 18 San Diego... allowed just five hits and one run while striking out a career-high tying six hitters in that start against the Toreros... tossed six innings and struck out four on Opening Day in his first career start... first career victory came on March 2 at UCSB (6.0 IP - 3 ER)... tossed seven shutout innings at Texas on March 11 but did not factor into the decision... allowed only three singles and struck out two in that game... tossed seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and no walks while striking out three vs. Indiana on March 16 to earn a victory... was masterful once again on March 23 at Nevada en route to improving to 3-1, dealing seven scoreless innings and allowing just four hits and no walks while striking out five... was his third straight outing tossing seven scoreless frames.. tossed eight innings against Saint Mary's on March 30, earning a victory to improve to 4-1... went 4-0 over five starts with a 1.80 ERA in the month of March... tossed a string of 25 straight shutout frames from the fourth inning of a game at UC Santa Barbara on March 2 through the first inning of a game against Saint Mary's on March 30... walked just one batter over 35 innings in March while striking out 19... WHIP for the month was a measly 0.80, while he also combined on two shutouts... walked the leadoff man in the fourth inning against USF on April 14, snapping a string of 38.2 straight innings without a walk... posted a victory over Portland on April 20... got a no decison after tossing 6.2 innings and allowing two runs to accompany six strikeouts at Long Beach State on May 5... managed a season-best seven strikeouts over five innings against Pepperdine on May 18... earned a victory over Santa Clara on May 25 after tossing six innings... allowed just a .255 batting average from left-handed hitters...

A 2011 graduate of Foothill High School in Santa Ana, Calif... four-year varsity starter for head coach Gary Fishel... claimed All-Sea View League recognition in each of his four varsity campaigns... named All-CIF in 2009, he also took home an All-County and Cal Hi Sports All-State selection that year... named Team MVP, All-City and All-Area as a senior... hit .360 with 33 runs scored and 25 RBI as a senior... sported a 5-1 record with a 2.27 ERA and 27 strikeouts over 37 innings of work as a junior... posted a 9-2 record with a 1.86 ERA and 62 strikeouts over 69.1 innings on the hill as a sophomore... a member of the Angels Elite Scout Team...
