Los Angeles, CA (Feb. 21) - The Loyola Marymount University baseball team had the second game of it's doubleheader suspended after seven innings of play at Page Stadium due to inclement weather. The Lions (4-2) were leading 8-5 over the New Mexico State Aggies (6-3) when the game was suspended. The game will resume tomorrow at noon before the third game of the series.
LMU jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings of play before the Aggies would score four in the third and a single run in the fourth. The Lions answered with single runs in the bottom of the fourth and seventh innings. Brady Koch, James Cooper, and Jonathan Higashi all have two Rbi in the game.
Freshmen Daniel Macias got the start for the Lions and gave up three earned runs through three and two thirds innings before giving way to Blake Feaser who got the final out of the fifth inning.
