LOS ANGELES, Calif. - As the 2013 season approaches, we here at LMULions.com would like to (re)introduce you to some of the baseball players who will be gracing Page Stadium's field this year. We have asked all the players a series of questions that range from why they chose LMU to what they would change their name to if they could. Today's question and answer session will feature sophomore Colin Welmon.

LMULions.com: What did you do this summer?
Colin Welmon: Took a few strokes off my golf game, went to Catalina, worked at LMU.

LMU: Why did you choose LMU/What do you like most about LMU?
CW: I most enjoy being around my teammates.

LMU: After LMU, what do you want to do?
CW: Keep playing baseball, have a family and stuff.

LMU: Do you have any superstitions?
CW: I prefer both shoelaces to be equally tight.

LMU: What is your favorite baseball team?
CW: Los Angeles Dodgers.

LMU: What is the early favorite for your walk-up song?
CW: Run Through the Jungle by CCR

LMU: What is your favorite movie?
CW: Goodwill Hunting.

LMU: What is your favorite book?
CW: Holes with Stanley Yelnats.

LMU: If I take a look inside your refrigerator what would I find?

LMU: What is your motto or advice you live by?
CW: You get what you settle for.

LMU: Name at least one television show that you watch every week.
CW: Monk, Psych, The Mentalist, the League.

 

 

LMU: Any fears or phobias?
CW: Heights.

LMU: If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?
CW: I'm really looking forward to seeing the Green Bay Packers win the Super Bowl on February 3, 2013.

LMU: If you could be any animal, what would you be?
CW: A Big Cat.

LMU: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
CW: Tustin, CA

LMU: If you could change your name, what would it be?
CW: Hank Mardukas

LMU: What was your favorite childhood television program?
CW: Recess.
