LOS ANGELES, Calif. - As the 2013 season approaches, we here at LMULions.com would like to (re)introduce you to some of the baseball players who will be gracing Page Stadium's field this year. We have asked all the players a series of questions that range from why they chose LMU to what they would change their name to if they could. Today's question and answer session will feature senior Joey Boney.

LMULions.com: What did you do this summer?
Joey Boney: Played in the Northwood's league before I got hurt, so I rehabbed most of the summer.

LMU: Why did you choose LMU/What do you like most about LMU?
JB: LMU seemed like the perfect fit the moment I walked onto campus.

LMU: Do you have a nickname? Explain the meaning behind it.
JB: The Tasmanian Devil (Taz)... the fire I play with.

LMU: What is your greatest highlight on the field?
JB: Walking off on Pepperdine for the seniors last year.

LMU: After LMU, what do you want to do?
JB: Not sure yet, would like to keep playing the game.

LMU: Do you have any superstitions?
JB: Too many to count.

LMU: Do you have any hidden talents?
JB: I show off all my talents.

LMU: What is your favorite baseball team?
JB: New York Yankees.

LMU: What is the early favorite for your walk-up song?
JB: Hillbilly Deluxe by Brooks and Dunn.

LMU: What is your favorite movie?
JB: Macgruber .

 

 

LMU: What is your favorite book?
JB: Beyond Belief, Josh Hamilton's life story.

LMU: What celebrity would play you in a movie about your life?
JB: Kevin Costner.

LMU: You are given $1,000,000 - what do you spend it on?
JB: I invest it.

LMU: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
JB: Fly.

LMU: If I take a look inside your refrigerator what would I find?
JB: A lot of things that should have been thrown away.

LMU: What is your motto or advice you live by?
JB: Confidence is the key to success.

LMU: Name at least one television show that you watch every week.
JB: SportsCenter, Workaholics, Sons of anarchy.

LMU: What is your most prized possession?
JB: Watch collection.

LMU: Any fears or phobias?
JB: Homeless people.

LMU: Who is your biggest influence in life?
JB: My mom and step dad.

LMU: Name one thing not many people know about you.
JB: My real name is Robert.

LMU: Do you have a celebrity look-alike?
JB: Not that I know of.

LMU: If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?
JB: Lou Gehrig's farewell speech .

LMU: Are you a morning or night person?
JB: Night person.

LMU: If you could be any animal, what would you be?
JB: Monkey.

LMU: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
JB: Southern California.

LMU: If you could change your name, what would it be?
JB: I like my name.

LMU: If someone was to give you one gift, what would you want to receive?
JB: A new truck.

LMU: What was your favorite childhood television program?
JB: Boy Meets World.
