Guthrie's Third WCC All-Academic Selection Highlights Trio of Lions on List

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Senior Alex Guthrie garnered his third West Coast Conference All-Academic selection to highlight a trio of Lions on the list, it was announced by the conference office on Friday. Guthrie is joined by juniors Zac Fujimoto and Aaron Griffin on the list, as each are being lauded for the second time in their careers. Including the trio of Lions, 13 members of this year's team appeared on the 2011 All-Academic squad. At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team. Guthrie recently graduated with a degree in business administration after accumulating a 3.25 GPA. Fujimoto carries a 3.41 GPA as an entrepreneurship major, while Griffin owns a 3.32 GPA in electrical engineering. 2012 WEST COAST CONFERENCE BASEBALL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
