LOS ANGELES, Calif. -
The LMU baseball team, and second-year Head Coach Jason Gill, will be holding a pair of High School Prospect Camps this year. The first session is slated to run from December 5-6 at Page Stadium on the campus of LMU. The second is scheduled for December 12-13. The camps will run from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. The cost is $150.00 per camper for high school baseball players graduating from 2010-2012.
Each camp is designed for the high school player who is looking to play at the next level, and provides a challenging and competitive environment for all involved. The routine for these days will include team stretching, hitting instruction, infield and outfield practice, a timed 60-yard dash and batting practice. There will be two six-inning games played on Saturday and three six-inning games on Sunday. Pitchers will have an opportunity to pitch three innings each, while all campers will have a chance to showcase their talents at their respective primary and secondary positions.
Instruction will be provided on both days by the Lion coaching staff, including Gill and assistants Drew Keehn, Scott Walter and Jeff Walker.
