LOS ANGELES, Calif. - As the 2013 season approaches, we here at LMULions.com would like to (re)introduce you to some of the baseball players who will be gracing Page Stadium's field this year. We have asked all the players a series of questions that range from why they chose LMU to what they would change their name to if they could. This week's question and answer session will feature junior Kevin Garcia.

LMULions.com: What did you do this summer?
Kevin Garcia: Played summer ball, worked hard in the gym, and had a great time with my family.

LMU: Why did you choose LMU/What do you like most about LMU?
KG: I chose LMU because of the program they have in baseball and academics. I like campus, and of course the beautiful ladies here.

LMULions.com: Do you have a nickname? Explain the meaning behind it.
KG: I go by Chipper because of Chipper Jones, but my teammates now call me Garci so we'll go with that one.

LMULions.com: After LMU, what do you want to do?
KG: Like any other baseball player, I have the aspiration to play professional baseball, so that's the goal right now as well as go into law school and become a successful lawyer.

LMULions.com: Do you have any superstitions?
KG: Yes! I have to do this thing every time I go up to hit.

LMULions.com: Do you have any hidden talents?
KG: I can play the guitar and sing a little bit.

LMULions.com: What is your favorite baseball team?
KG: Atlanta Braves.

LMULions.com: What is your favorite movie?
KG: The Perfect Game.

LMULions.com: What is your favorite book?
KG: Josh Hamilton Beyond Belief

LMULions.com: You are given $1,000,000 - what do you spend it on?
KG: I should invest it in a good business so that more money comes out, but I would probably spend it with the fam in trips...haha.

LMULions.com: Are you a collector of anything?
KG: No.

LMULions.com: If I take a look inside your refrigerator what would I find?
KG: Gatorades and meat.

LMULions.com: What is your motto or advice you live by?
KG: If you haven't failed, you haven't tried...

LMULions.com: Name at least one television show that you watch every week.
KG: MLB Network, Jersey Shore, Gater Boyz

LMULions.com: Who is your biggest influence in life?
KG: God and my parents.

LMULions.com: Name one thing not many people know about you.
KG: I can sing a little bit.

LMULions.com: If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?
KG: Past, seeing Babe Ruth play. Present, seeing us winning a national championship! Future, see myself making my debut in the bigs.

LMULions.com: Are you a morning or night person?
KG: Both

LMULions.com: If you could be any animal, what would you be?
KG: A Lion ;)

LMULions.com: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
KG: Florida or California

LMULions.com: If you could change your name, what would it be?
KG: Probably stick with Kevin...haha.

LMULions.com: If someone was to give you one gift, what would you want to receive?
KG: Season tickets for the Braves.

LMULions.com: What was your favorite childhood television program?
KG: Power Rangers.
