Although the official start to the 2018 baseball season is slated for February 16, fall practice began on Thursday as the Lions prepare to defend a West Coast Conference Championship this spring. The 2018 season will be the 10th under head coach Jason Gill.
This week's practices will be the first with the entire 2018 squad after weeks of individual workouts. Thursday was not only the first practice, but it also featured the first scrimmage of the year. The second scrimmage date for the Lions is slated for Saturday at 2:30 p.m. following a 12:30 p.m. practice start time.
The Lions will not only get reps against one another, LMU will host a fall game on October 28 against Cal Poly. That contest is slated to begin at 12pm from Page Stadium.
All scrimmages dates and times are subject to change. Admission to LMU baseball's on-field practices and scrimmages is free to those interested in attending. Fans are reminded that LMU charges for parking on weekdays.
