LOS ANGELES, Calif. - As the 2013 season approaches, we here at LMULions.com would like to (re)introduce you to some of the baseball players who will be gracing Page Stadium's field this year. We have asked all the players a series of questions that range from why they chose LMU to what they would change their name to if they could. Today's question and answer session will feature freshman Ryan Erickson.

LMULions.com: What did you do this summer?
Ryan Erickson: This summer I visited Bass Lake with my family and I went tubing and jet skiing for the first time for a week.

LMU: Why did you choose LMU/What do you like most about LMU?
RE: It seemed like a place where I could have a good time, meet new people, and find a great education.

LMULions.com: Do you have a nickname? Explain the meaning behind it.
RE: Randy; one of my friends thinks that I look like the UFC fighter Randy Couture, and he has been calling me that for four years now.

LMULions.com: What is your greatest highlight on the field?
RE: Scoring the game-winning run in a CIF quarterfinal game my sophomore year.

LMULions.com: After LMU, what do you want to do?
RE: I want to be a high school English teacher.

LMULions.com: Do you have any superstitions?
RE: I always have the same pre at-bat routine that I never deviate from.

LMULions.com: Do you have any hidden talents?
RE: I'm good at whistling and also really love to sing.

LMULions.com: What is your favorite baseball team?
RE: Oakland Athletics

RE: The Dark Knight

LMULions.com: What is your favorite book?
RE: The Lord of the Flies

RE: Joseph Gordon-Levitt

LMULions.com: You are given $1,000,000 - what do you spend it on?
RE: I would invest my money in a safe stock and divvy up the rest to my parents and family.

LMULions.com: Are you a collector of anything?
RE: Sadly no.

LMULions.com: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
RE: To fly, because i would be able to go to places at any time and it beats driving through traffic.

LMULions.com: If I take a look inside your refrigerator what would I find?
RE: Milk and Oreos.

LMULions.com: What is your motto or advice you live by?
RE: Be the change you wish to see in the world.

LMULions.com: Name at least one television show that you watch every week.

RE: My glove.

RE: My dad, who is a cancer survivor.

RE: I am addicted to reality television shows.

RE: Randy Couture

RE: President Obama's inauguration.

RE: Night person for sure.

RE: An eagle.

RE: The Bahamas.

RE: Scott because its my middle name.

RE: Season tickets for life to Raider games.
