Lions Release 2014 Baseball Slate, 19 Games Under Home Lights
LMU will play 30 home games, including 19 under the lights at Page Stadium.
Oct. 25, 2013
The LMU baseball program, led by sixth-year head coach Jason Gill, unveiled a home-heavy 2014 schedule. The Lions will play 30 of their 52 games at home, including 19 which are slated to be contested under the lights at Page Stadium. Fourteen of LMU's games will be played against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last year, including three against defending National Champion UCLA.
The Lions will not play a non-conference road weekend series during the regular season this year, instead hosting Utah Valley, Northern Kentucky, and Oregon and Utah from the Pac-12 Conference. LMU also has midweek match ups against UCLA, San Diego State, UC Irvine, Cal State Northridge, Long Beach State, UC Riverside and USC.
The West Coast Conference slate will be tough as always, as LMU will open conference play at home against Portland before traveling to San Diego for a three-game series. The Lions will then visit Spokane, Wash. and Gonzaga, host San Francisco and Saint Mary's, and travel to BYU and Santa Clara. The final two weeks of the WCC schedule will conclude with a home series against Pepperdine, followed by the first WCC series against conference newcomer Pacific on the road starting on May 16. The Lions will then hope to return to Stockton, Calif. one week later to play in the WCC Championship Series.
The 2014 LMU baseball season is part of the Commemorative Season Ticket Scarf package, and for just $30 gets the holder general admission access to every home game.
