Crimson/Navy Fall World Series Starts Today

The LMU baseball team will hold a three-game Crimson/Navy Fall World Series at Page Stadium starting on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. Following the opener, the two teams will clash at 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon before Saturday's finale at 1 p.m. The teams will play three games regardless of series score after two. All three games are open to the public.

Senior catcher Colton Plaia will skipper the Crimson squad, while sophomore backstop Chris Barnett will serve as player-manager for the Navy squad. The captains held a draft on Tuesday night to pick teams, with sophomore two-way player Colin Welmon going No. 1 overall to Navy.

Neither team would divulge their starting rotation at the time of release.
