LMU baseball will hold a pair of winter camps for serious players in grades 9-12.
Nov. 2, 2011
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -
The LMU baseball program recently announced the dates for a pair of Winter High School Prospect Camps that will be held at LMU baseball's Page Stadium on the campus of Loyola Marymount University. The camps are designed for the serious baseball player in grades 9-12.
"These winter camps are invaluable to our program," Head Coach Jason Gill said. "We have granted scholarships to six different players over the last three years who have come through one of these camps, and we look forward to continuing to find quality athletes at our camps. The NCAA recruiting rules do not allow us to be on the road recruiting athletes during the camp dates, so these opportunities are vital to ensuring that our program continues to find the best talent possible."
The first camp will take place on December 10 and 11, 2011 and will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 p.m. each day, with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. The price to attend the two-day camp is $200, but pitchers who are interested in attending the camp for just one day will be charged $100.
The second set of camp dates are January 14 and 15, 2012. The times and prices are the same for the second camp as they are for the first. Attendees should bring their own baseball equipment, including gloves, bats and hats. All attendees will receive a camp T-Shirt, and will be put through a pro-style workout along with instruction from the LMU coaches and staff followed by a game each day. Lunch will not be provided.
Players interested in attending the camp can register for the respective dates via the links at the top of the page.
