In his first season after transferring from Canada Junior College, he was named to second team All-WCC as a DH...played in 47 games for the Lions last season, including 42 starts as the DH...versatile in the line-up, hitting in the second spot in 14 starts, seventh spot in 15 starts and also hit in the fifth, sixth and eighth spot...tied for third on the team with 10 home runs...hit .338 in 148 at-bats (50 hits)...his .622 slugging percentage was eighth in the WCC...He finished 10th in the WCC with a .441 on base percentage...had 20 extra base hits, in addition to 10 HRs, includes eight doubles and two triples...He is perfect on the base paths, stealing seven bases in seven attempts...had 13 multiple hit games, including two three-hit games and a four hit game...went 3-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles in 16-13 win over Cal Poly (3/25/00)...went 4-for-6 in battle against UCLA (2/15/00), which included a home run, three runs scored and three RBI...had a multiple HR game against Santa Clara (3/24/00)...in the 20-4 win, Walker had six RBI, a career high...the Lions were 32-10 when Walker started at the DH spot and 13-2 when he hit in the seventh spot in the line-up.

High School
A 1997 graduate of St. Francis High School in Mountain View, CA...earned two varsity letters, both as a member of the baseball team during his junior and senior seasons...captained his senior squad...earned Central Coast and West Catholic All-League honors in his final campaign...hit .398 as a senior with five home runs and 36 RBIs...guided his senior squad to the Central Coast playoffs...played for prep coach Chris Bradford.

Jeffrey Michael Walker was born September 7, 1979 in Mountain View, CA...he is the son of Niles and Francis Walker...has one brother, David...was recruited by Cal State Fullerton, South Alabama and Santa Clara...majoring in history, he aspires to become a teacher.
