LMU men's basketball was on the road for a month and returned home this week for the first time since Nov. 17. In addition to home games, the Lions were able to get back to action in the community as well, with the community outreach program LMU Cares picking back up on Monday at Franklin D. Parent School in Inglewood.

Alexander Schilter was hired as the Director of Basketball Operations for the Lions midway through the 2012-13 season and enters his second season in 2013-14. Schilter is a 2012 graduate of Washington State University.
Schilter has been working on his Masters of Education at LMU since August 2012 and started at LMU by assisting the Lions as a graduate assistant and video coordinator.
Schilter earned his Bachelor's of Sports Management with a Business Administration Area of Specialization from Washington State in 2012. He was the student manager for the Cougars from 2010 until his graduation, specializing in game film while assisting in team travel and game management.
He also was a coach and camp instructor in the summer for Washington State. After graduation he worked as an instructor at the Joe Callero Basketball Camp at Cal Poly and at the Montana Griz Cage Camp.
He is a native of University Place, Wash., and graduated from Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma, Wash.
