BRIEFLY... Buay Tuach completes his collegiate career and second season at LMU after transferring from Northeast C.C. in Norfolk, Neb… earned Honorable Mention All-WCC honors in 2016-17.

IN 2016-17... SENIOR... His 40.8 percent shooting from three in the 2016-17 season is currently ranked 13th in LMU history for a single season... His 38.1 percent shooting from three in his two seasons at LMU is ranked 9th for a career at LMU... His senior season could be considered one of the most-improved campaigns by any player in the WCC. A year ago, he had 96 points while hitting 34.8 percent from the field (32-for-92) and 32.7 percent from three (17-for-52). In 2016-17, he has taken off... he is averaging 11.4 points per game, scoring 318 total points while hitting 50.2 percent from the field (115-of-229) and 40.8 percent from three (42-of-103). Within the WCC, he ranks 20th in scoring, 11th in shooting, 10th in three-point shooting, and 4th in steals (1.4 spg).

IN 2015-16 • JUNIOR... played 26 games with 11 starts, missing the last two games of the regular season due to elbow injury... averaged 3.7 ppg and 1.6 rpg... hit 32.7 percent from three (17-for-52), adding 14 steals and 24 assists... played 15 minutes in WCC tournament, including 12 against Saint Mary's (3/5/16), scoring three points with three assists... had career-high 10 points against Pacific (1/9/16), adding four assists... missed just two games in non-conference, earning five starts... best game was nine points and five rebounds at Colorado State (11/19/15)... averaged 3.7 ppg in non-conference... had eight points and four rebounds in 30 minutes at Pepperdine (1/2/16).

BEFORE LMU... Tuach started 50 of 52 games in his two seasons at Northeast C.C., leading his team to a 25-7 record in 2014-15. As a sophomore he averaged 16.7 points overall, jumping that to 18.8 in conference play. He added 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, while shooting 38.9 percent from three and an impressive 60.5 percent clip from the field... He earned second-team All-Conference as a sophomore, improving on his 12.9 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per contest as a freshman. The native of Sudan, who moved with his family to Omaha, Neb., as a child, helped South High School to a 23-3 record as a senior. He was named second-team All-Metro by OmahaHoops.com and was named Honorable Mention All-Metro and All-State by the Omaha World-Herald.

PERSONAL... Buay Tuach was is the son of Nyibol Liem and he was born on Jan. 20, 1995 in Ethiopia, South Sudan... he has three brothers and two sisters, he is a Sociology major.
