Chris Kanne joined the LMU Men's Basketball Program as a walk-on in the 2005-06 season. In 2004-05 he was a student manager and now returns for his final season. He earned his business degree in May of 2008 and returns after being admitted into Business Law graduate school. He earned a scholarship for the 2008-09 season.
2007-08 at LMU:
Chris played in a career high 17 games, including a start against Pepperdine (2-23-08) in the final home game of the season. He hit a three-pointer against Saint Mary's (2-16-08) and finished with four points. He finished the season with 10 points, two rebounds and two assists.
2006-07 at LMU:
He played in eight games as a redshirt sophomore, playing a career-high five minutes against Akron (12/29/06). He hit his only field goal of the season at Gonzaga (1/6/07) and hit a free throw against Akron. Also had assists against Mississippi State (11/13/06), Akron, and Saint Mary's (2/26/07).
2005-06 at LMU:
Kanne made first appearance against BYU (11-18-05). He finished regular season playing in seven games, going 1-for-5 from the field in nine minutes. He hit first career field goal, a three-pointer against Portland (1-14-06) and had a rebound against Washington (11-25-05), Northern Colorado (12-17-05) and San Diego (2-6-06), all offensive.
Graduated from Servite High School in 2004 with a 3.5 grade point average... played both point guard and shooting guard for coach Brian Kenney... was a three-time letterwinner, serving as team captain in his junior and senior seasons... was a three-time All-Serra League selection, earning first-team All-CIF Division III honors as a senior... averaged 18 points and five rebounds per game... holds the Servite record for three-pointers... was an Orange County All-Star... was also named to the Principal's Honor Roll, won the Gene Autry Humanitarian of the Year Award... also earned Servite award for courage and dedication to academics and athletics.
Christopher Andrew Kanne was born in Whittier, Calif., on March 23, 1986... he is the son of Kathleen and Michael Kanne.. he has a sister, Jennifer, and two brothers, Michael and Matt... father played baseball at USC... served as a volunteer with Meals-On-Wheels... played baseball with LMU's Brad Meyers and AJ Lamonda... he earned a Business degree in May and is now enrolled in graduate school at LMU for Business Law.
