Curran Walsh joins the LMU Lions coaching staff for his first season as a Graduate Assistant.Walsh brings a multitude of experience at all levels of basketball to the Lions program, including playing at the collegiate level from 2012-2016 as well as training NBA players during his time as a player development coach. As a Graduate Assistant, Walsh will have a breadth of responsibilities for the Lions coaching staff. Walsh will bring his high-level development experience and assist in the day-to-day development of LMU players, along with assisting on film work, scouting, scheduling, and logistics.
In the months leading up to joining Mike Dunlap’s staff, Walsh was a part of the player development process of many NBA players that included Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade, Rajon Rondo, Jaylen Brown, Tony Snell, and Joakim Noah, for Chris Johnson Hoops. In the 2016-2017 basketball season, Walsh was an assistant coach for the Varsity basketball team at St. Anthony High School which culminated in a school record 30 wins and the city’s first ever IHSA State Basketball Championship.
A native of Effingham, Illinois, Walsh turned his success as a high school player into a 4-year career
at Lindenwood University-Belleville where he was Academic All-Conference in 2015 and 2016. Walsh received his B.S. in Business Administration from Lindenwood in 2016.
