BRIEFLY...Ben Dickinson joins the Lions for the 2012-13 season after transferring from Binghamton University... played one season at Binghamton and will serve his redshirt season due to NCAA transfer rules in 2012-13 and will be a redshirt sophomore in 2013-14.

PRIOR TO LMU... was a freshman American East All-Rookie Team selection at Binghamton University... averaged 13.5 points and 6.1 rebounds for the season. He hit for three double-doubles during the season and was BU's leading scorer in 15 games and the team's rebound leader in 18 games... Dickinson broke the program's freshman scoring record with 405 points. He finished five rebounds away from claiming the rookie rebound record at Binghamton, sitting at 184 for the season... He produced a game-high 21 points and team-high nine rebounds in BU's thrilling 73-67 win over UMBC in the America East tournament first round at Chase Family Arena. In that game, Dickinson added five assists and a pair of blocks in 43 minutes. He finished the season with a 20-point effort in the America East quarterfinal setback...He ranked eighth in the conference in rebounding (first among freshmen) and 11th in scoring (second among freshmen).

HIGH SCHOOL... Graduated from Gonzaga High School in Alexandria, Virg... Helped team to a 25-7 overall record as a senior, averaging 4.8 points with five rebounds for a loaded Gonzaga team...

PERSONAL...Benjamin R. Dickinson was born on Jan. 23, 1993 in Alexandria, Virg., and is the son of Kathleen and Tim Dickinson... both parents played volleyball, mom attending Niagara University and dad, Buffalo State and Virginia Commonwealth... has three brothers... volunteered with the Special Olympics and at the local Soup Kitchen (S.O.M.E.)... he is an Engineering major.
