BRIEFLY... Tim Diederichs enters his fifth and final season of action at LMU. He suffered a shoulder injury during preseason practice in October of 2008 and after playing just three games to start his true sophomore season, underwent shoulder surgery and missed the remainder of the season. He was granted a medical hardship redshirt season in 2008-09 and will be a redshirt senior in 2011-12... he earned his Bachelor's in Business Marketing in May of 2011 and is currently in the M.B.A. program at LMU...

LMU RECORDS... Enters junior year with a career field goal percentage of 49.7 percent (150-of-302), ranking him 26th for career field goal percentage all-time in LMU history... Was first freshman to start every game of his first season in LMU history, and ranked 12th by freshman with 255 points in `07-'08... he is also ranked 11th by freshman with 106 rebounds in `07-'08...

HIGHLIGHTS AT LMU...
IN 2011-12 • RS Senior...played in five of the Lions first 10 games, earning two starts... had best outing since freshman season with 16 points in win over LaSierra... added eight points against North Texas...

IN 2010-11 • RS Junior... played in 30 of the 32 games as a redshirt junior... averaged 10.5 minutes, scoring 2.7 points and 1.7 rebounds per contest... Started both games at home to start 2010-11 season, scoring six points against La Sierra... had his best game since his freshman season, coming off the bench to spark the Lions with 11 points in seven minutes in the first half alone, added four rebounds and a steal... had two rebounds, two assists and a steal... was a perfect 2-for-2 from field with three rebounds at South Dakota... scored 10 points on 5-for-5 shooting in win over UC Irvine. Came off the bench to play 23 minutes, adding three assists and two rebounds with a steal... hit two big free throws in the final minute in win over USD... had six rebounds with two points in 22 minutes at Gonzaga... scored five points off the bench in nine minutes of action against USF...

IN 2009-10 • RS Sophomore... He played 28 games, starting 13 on the season... averaged 12.1 minutes, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.5 points... NON-CONFERENCE... started all three games in Montana, averaged 4.0 points, 2.7 rebounds in 11.0 minutes... had four points, two boards in 10 minutes against USC... CIT... played five minutes with three rebounds... WCC PLAY... had four points, three rebounds in 12 minutes off the bench in first action in a month against San Francisco... had best game of season in 14 minutes off the bench, scoring six points aginst Santa Clara... played season-high 25 minutes against Gonzaga, scoring four points with season-best five rebounds...had second straight season-high with six rebounds, adding two assists in win over Pepperdine...had four points, an assist, two rebounds and a steal in win at Santa Clara... had best game of the season with 12 points, three rebounds and two assists off the bench against Saint Mary's, playing 20 minutes... WCC TOURNEY...  averaged 7.7 minutes in the three games, scoring eight points with five rebounds... scored four points with a rebound and a steal in 10 minutes off the bench... scored four points with four rebounds in seven minutes in win over USF... played six minutes against Gonzaga...

IN 2008-09 • Sophomore... played in three games in 2008-09, missing the remainder of the season due shoulder surgery... after playing nearly 30 minutes a game as a true freshman, he averaged just over 14 minutes in his three games, starting in two of them... scored just seven points with four rebounds in his limited action...

IN 2007-08 • Junior... Diederichs finished his first season as the Lions' only freshman on record to have started every game of his rookie season. Pulled aside by Eddie Sutton, the current active all-time leader in wins as a head coach with 803, Diederichs was praised as being on the verge of being a very good player. No freshman in LMU history is listed to have started every game in their first year of action (however, Forrest McKenzie averaged 29.8 minutes per game as a freshman in 1981 to set the all-time freshman scoring record and games started was not recorded for that season). He scored 255 points with 106 rebounds to rank 10th and eighth, respectively, in the LMU record book for freshman. He was second on the squad with 26.7 minutes per contest, playing no fewer than 15 minutes in a single game and playing 39 against Wagner (12-22-07) and UC Riverside (12-15-07), both of which went to overtime. He averaged 8.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest on the season, adding 37 assists, seven blocks and 15 steals. His career began with an eight-point, four-rebound performance against UC Irvine (11-9-07). He had a break-out game against St. Bonaventure, scoring 14 points with six rebounds and a steal in 33 minutes. In the win over Boise State (12-8-07), he had another 14 and 6 performance, going 6-for-10 from the field. He had another 14 points against Wagner and a pair of 10-point games against BYU (1-3-08) and Portland (1-14-08). In the Lions' homestand against San DIego (2-2-08) and USF (2-4-08), he had his stellar weekend, scoring 10 points against USD and then a career-best 18 points with six rebounds against the Dons. He ended his first season on a tear, averaging 11.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in the final five games. He had 14 and two against Santa Clara (2-18-08), 10 and five against Pepperdine (2-23-08), 15 and two at USF (3-1-08), 10 and eight at USD (3-3-08) and 10 and five in the WCC tournament against USF (3-7-08).

PRIOR TO LMU... Diederichs graduated from Snohomish High School in 2007. He finished the 2006-07 season at Snohomish averaging 14 points, nine rebounds and five assists per game as a senior. The Panthers went 25-3 and finished fifth at the 4A state tournament. He was an All-Wesco North forward and team captain and led the team in assists in the final game of state. Diederichs averaged about 16 points and nine rebounds per game for Snohomish as a junior. He used his size and versatility to score from all over the court for Snohomish, helping the Panthers advance to the Class 4A state tournament and compile a 25-3 record. He played two seasons as a starter at Shorewood High School as a freshman and a sophomore, earning two varsity letters. He started 35 games for coach Jeff Denny, going for five points and five rebounds per game as a freshman and eight points and eight rebounds as a sophomore. He then played two seasons for Len Bone at Snohomish. He was two-time All-City, All-Area, All-Conference and All-League. He was also a 4A All-State selection as a senior.

PERSONAL... Timothy Paul Diederichs was born on Oct. 26, 1988 and is the son of Janice (mother) and Rollin Shatto and Paul (father) and Laurena Diederichs. Has a brother, Rob, who plays basketball at Seattle Pacific. Father played basketball and track. He did volunteer work at the Delta Rehabilitation center and for the Snohomish Panthers Santa Slam... earned his Bachelor's in Business Marketing in May of 2011 and is currently in the M.B.A. program at LMU.
