Brown graduated from San Rafael High School (San Rafael, CA) in 2001... he then spent the 2001-02 academic season as a post-graduate at St. Thomas Moore Academy in Oakdale, Connecticut...he averaged 14 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in his postgraduate season at St. Thomas Moore... helped St. Thomas to a 23-9 record in 2001-02 and was one of nine players to sign Division I scholarships from the institution... played for head coach Jere Quinn... he competed on teams with fellow Lion Charles Brown and Brandon Worthy during summer AAU tournaments... also played against Wes Wardrop and Daryl Pegram in the New England Prep School League.... at San Rafael he was a first-team all-league selection as a sophomore and senior... averaged a double-double as a senior at San Rafael... set school record for blocks in a career at San Rafael... while at St. Thomas he had a perfect 4.0 GPA for the year.
Dustin James Brown was born on Feb. 5, 1983 in Napa, CA... he is the son of Raymond and Sarah Brown and Julie and Craig Damon... has two brothers... is a volunteer at WildCare Center (shelter for endangered animals in San Rafael)... came to LMU because he "liked the intensity that everyone is putting into the program."... a philosophy major... interested in owning his own business (jazz club/restaurant)... grew up around music... Mom has made two CDs and worked on Broadway (starred in Tommy Tune Grand Hotel with John Snyder from Dukes of Hazard)... step mom is a spokesmodel for Chrysler... played against teammates Brandon Worthy, and Wes Wardrop.
