He continues to add to his legacy as one of the program's all-time best players as he joins Hank Gathers and Forrest McKenzie as the only Lions to earn first-team All-Conference honors by the West Coast Conference three times.

LMU men's basketball was on the road for a month and returned home this week for the first time since Nov. 17. In addition to home games, the Lions were able to get back to action in the community as well, with the community outreach program LMU Cares picking back up on Monday at Franklin D. Parent School in Inglewood.
LMU men's basketball is halfway through its month-long road trip that will see them travel 15,550 miles. The shortest part of the trip is up next as the Lions take a one-game stop in Southern California, traveling the 75 miles to UC Riverside (2-3) to face the Highlanders on Monday, Dec. 2 at 7 pm.
Senior Anthony Ireland was, well, Anthony Ireland, scoring 24 points with seven assists and six rebounds. Fellow senior Ayodeji Egbeyemi showed his experience and athleticism, while the young roster showed promise and its youth as LMU earned a 96-64 win in its lone exhibition game to start the 2013-14 season.

BRIEFLY... Gabe Levin is in his first season of college basketball for LMU in 2013-14... comes to LMU after a season at St. Thomas More (Conn.)... FROM COACH GOOD: "Gabe has the size and skills to impact the game in many ways. However, its his toughness that will drive opponents crazy," said Good. "He has a great motor and is a very good rebounder. He has shown great range but can also really compete under the basket."
HIGH SCHOOL... played at St. Thomas More Prep in Conn., which is in the same prep school league that Anthony Ireland played in... A First-Team All-NEPSAC (New England Prep School Athletic Conference) performer in Class AAA, Levin had a huge post-graduate season for the Chancellors, helping them earn the top seed in the post-season tournament and advance all the way to the NEPSAC finals... prior to his year of post-graduate studies at Saint Thomas More, Levin graduated from Oak Park High School in River Forest, Ill... In his senior season he average nearly 20 points and 10 rebounds per contest. He would lead Oak Park with 16 points and 13 rebounds to help them to the Class 42 Lyons Township regional championship... they would advance to the sectional semifinals and finish with a 20-7 overall record and a West Suburban Conference title and first regional title since 2008... his senior season success earned him fourth-team All-State from the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association, selected as one of 28 players for the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association North - South All - Star Game at Illinois Wesleyan University, selected for the Chicago United Hoops Classic South Side vs. West Side All - Star Game, ESPN Chicago All - Area Team; All-West Suburban Conference and Academic All-Conference honors.
PERSONAL... Gabe Louis Levin was born on Aug. 2, 1994 in Chicago, Ill... He is the son of Mary Jo and Hillel Levin... he has two brothers and two sisters... he is a Psychology major.
