Briefly:
Derick Grubb transfers to Loyola Marymount for his final year of eligibility under the new transfer rules. He graduated from Pepperdine in May of 2006 and will attend graduate school at LMU. He played four seasons at Pepperdine, earning a medical redshirt in 2004-05 after a bad back kept him out of all but five games. He will enter the Education program at LMU.
2005-06 Season Notes at Pepperdine:
Appeared in 27 games and started six while averaging 17.2 minutes a contest...Averaged 4.3 points and 3.6 rebounds a game...Shot 37.9 percent from the field, including 39.0 percent from three-point range, and 63.6 percent from the foul line...Had nine points, eight rebounds, an assist, one block and two steals versus Connecticut...Totaled two rebounds, two assists and three blocks at Cal State Fullerton...Had three rebounds in 12 minutes against UC Irvine...Contributed five points, four rebounds and one assist at Dayton...Scored eight points, had one rebound and an assist at Wisconsin...Made initial start of the season at UC Santa Barbara and totaled five rebounds...Tallied six points and a season-high nine rebounds at UNLV...Scored a season-high tying nine points and had six rebounds versus San Francisco...Totaled a career-high 13 points, had two rebounds and two blocks at Portland...Scored four points, had a season-high tying eight rebounds and dished out a career-high four assists at San Francisco.

2003-04 Season Notes at Pepperdine:
Appeared in 29 games and started 15 . . . Averaged 3.8 points and 3.6 rebounds while playing 15.0 minutes a game . . . Shot 51.6 percent from the field and 68.2 percent from the foul line . . . Led the Waves in rebounding five times . . . Had nine points and 10 rebounds versus American (12-28) at the Rainbow Classic . . . Had a career-high three assists versus IUPUI . . . Produced first double-double of career with 12 points and 10 rebounds at Santa Clara (1-15) . . . Followed that performance with eight points, a career-high 11 rebounds and personal-best tying three assists at San Diego (1-17).
