IN 2017-18 • JUNIOR... Started and played in 30 of 31 games in his first season with the Lions... Led LMU in scoring and averaged 17.8 points per game to lead all newcomers in the conference and rank fourth overall in the WCC... Finished with a pair of 30 point games, both on the road at Washington (12/17/17) and at San Diego (1/13/18)... Recorded LMU's only points/assists double-double on the season with his 13 point and 10 assist game in the PCH Cup win over Pepperdine (2/10/18)... Led LMU in scoring in 15 games and in 20 games... Recorded 12 of LMU's top 13 single-game scoring output (30, 30, 29, 29, 28, 27, 26, 26, 25, 25, 23, 23) and top five single game assists (12, 10, 8, 7, 7)... Named to the WCC All-Tournament team after scoring 29 points in the win over Portland (3/2/18) and 27 points in the quarterfinals against #7 Gonzaga (3/3/18) and shooting 50 percent from the field and 83 percent from the line for the tournament... Tied the program record with 100 percent free throw shooting at both Incarnate Word (11/22/17) and Portland (2/3/18)... Made 157 free throws on the season, 14th most in school history... Played 1050 minutes and averaged 35.0 minutes per game which stand as 12th and 17th all-time in single season LMU history... Set a career-high with 12 assists in the win over Cal State LA (11/28/17)... Swiped 1.2 steals per game, good for seventh-most in the WCC... Shot the 14th-best percentage in the WCC, at 47.6 percent. His4.7 assists per game were fourth best in the conference this season... His 1.6 assist-to-turnover ratio was the ninth-best in the league... Led the team and finished seventh in the league after shooting an impressive 80.1 percent from the line. Rounded out the WCC top-15 with his 39.1 percent shooting from long distance... Finished one point of the program record for best scoring game to open a career with his 23-point performance against UT Arlington (11/11/17)

BEFORE LMU...Batemon graduated from Riverside University High School... Served as captain his junior and senior seasons and was all-league as a sophomore, junior, and senior... Named first team all-state in his senior season... Played for the Milwaukee Bulldogs in 2014... Prior to transferring to LMU, Batemon was a two-time All-America point guard at North Dakota State College of Science (2nd Team in 2016 and Honorable Mention in 2015), where he finished his two seasons second all-time in points scored.
