It started the minute Head Coach Mike Dunlap arrived on campus in March. A commitment to becoming better each and every day, on and off the floor. And for junior Marin Mornar he can see and feel the change and his excited for what the future holds for he and his teammates.

MBB | A Global Reach

Showing its reach across the globe, LMU continued its tour while sending back some well wishes as they spent their final day in Madrid before flying to Barcelona on Sunday morning. The Lions had a full pre game practice, followed by the coaches participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. They then took on the Angola National Team, who is participating in the upcoming FIBA World Championships in Spain.

Junior Marin Mornar, who is from Zagreb, Croatia, is one of eight international players. As the young roster continues its first months together, Mornar talked to the LMU Sports Network about playing a game in his seventh different country and using this trip to grow on new Head Coach Mike Dunlap's philosophies of living big days and forming a consistent game day routine.


MBB | LMU Cares

LMU men's basketball was on the road for a month and returned home this week for the first time since Nov. 17. In addition to home games, the Lions were able to get back to action in the community as well, with the community outreach program LMU Cares picking back up on Monday at Franklin D. Parent School in Inglewood.

IN 2012-13 • FRESHMAN... averaged 8.8 minutes per game as a true freshman, averaging 1.7 points and 2.3 rebounds on the season... added 10 blocks, six steals while hitting 5-for-11 from the three-point line... had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in career debut against Pacifica (11/9/12)... it was the first double-double by a freshman making his debut in school history...

HIGH SCHOOL... graduated from Consortium College Prep in Detroit, Mich., in June of 2012... he attended Tehnicka Shola Ruder Boshevic in Zagreb, Croatia before relocating to Detroit to pursue dream of playing NCAA Division I basketball... was a member of the Honor Roll and National Honor Society at Consortium... helped Consortium to the Michigan Class C State Championships, advancing to the regional finals where they fell to eventual state champion Beecher. The Cougars finished the season 19-4... he averaged 11.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.6 blocks.

PERSONAL... Marin Mornar was born on March 26, 1993 in Zagreb, Croatia and is the son of Nives and Vedran Mornar... has a sister... a Civil Engineering major.
