Nicholas Plosser was hired as an assistant strength coach for the LMU men's basketball program in the fall of 2011, working his first season in 2011-12.

Plosser has been playing and coaching basketball for nearly 20 years, working throughout the world in the process. He graduated from the University of the Pacific with a B.A. in History in 2004 and then earned is Master's of International Relations at Durham University in the United Kingdom. He is currently completing his PhD in International Studies at Durham and is expected to finish in 2012.

While at Durham from 2006-10, he played for their basketball program, winning a Division 1 National Title in 2010. He also played for the Team Durham Wildcats of the English Basketball League.

In between graduating Pacific and going to Durham, Plosser was a teacher at various English schools in Taiwan. While working there, he played on a traveling team that competed in tournaments throughout Taiwan and Hong Kong.

In addition, he has be a counselor and coach at numerous basketball camps including the Vlade Divac Camp, the David Ancrum Skills Camp and at various camps in Taiwan, China and England.
