Sean Mollins enters his second season after transferring to the program as a walk-on...a fighter and competitor who always plays hard and gives everything he has... showed a consistent mid-range jump shot and an unselfish ability to help everyone around him better...accepted role and the Lion offense seemed to flow better when he was in the game... broke his right thumb during the second to last game of the season and had off-season surgery to place two metal pins in the thumb...worked hard in the off-season at trying to gain body weight and needed strength... should give the Lions a quality complimentary player and a solid senior leader.

Was one of the surprises of the 2000-01 season, earning the team?s Most Improved award...finished the season averaging 4.4 points per game and 2.9 rebounds per game...stepped it up in conference play, where he averaged 6.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game...to start conference play against San Diego (1/12/01) he played the best game of the season with a career-high nine points in 21 minutes, also a career high... he was 4-of-6 from the field, including the game winner with 4.6 seconds left...against Santa Clara (1/13/01) he had another solid outing, playing 18 minutes, scoring eight points and drilling another three-pointer...scored 11 points against Pepperdine (1/17/01) and was perfect from the line (4-4)... at Saint Mary?s (1/26/01) he once against set his career-high in minutes played with 25 off the bench... finished with a career-high eight rebounds to lead the team... he added nine points...for the second straight night he played a career-high 31 minutes off the bench against San Francisco (1/27/01)... finished with seven points and six rebounds... earned first start of career against San Diego (2/12/01)... played 18 minutes and scored nine points... had another nine-point outing against Portland (2/17/01), grabbing a team-high seven rebounds (tied with Robinson)... broke hand against San Francisco (2/23/01).
Mollins transferred from De Anza Junior College in Cupertino, CA...earned all-conference honors in both his freshman and sophomore campaigns in the Coast Conference...finished his two years at De Anza averaging 18 ppg and 10 rpg... was a captain his final season... he earned his Associates of Arts degree in June of 2000.
Mollins graduated from Penn High School in Palos Verdes, CA, in June of 1997...was named team captain by both the coaches and teammates his junior year...was a two guard.
