    Shawn Deadwiler II is in his second collegiate season with the Lions in 2006-07. After recovering from knee surgery to start his freshman season, he came off the bench to play 19 games.

    2006-07 Season Notes at LMU:
    Averaged 9.7 minutes per game in 19 games for the Lions as a true freshman. Finished the season averaging 1.6 points and 1.4 assists. He played his first collegiate game against USC (12-2-06) after missing six weeks from knee surgery. He went for four points with three rebounds in 11 minutes. He played 11 more minutes with four assists against SHSU (12-6-06). Played 18 minutes against Long Beach St. (12-22-06), scoring four points with four rebounds. Hit his first three pointer in 10 minutes against USD (1-15-07). Scored a career-high eight points on 3-for-7 shooting against Saint Mary's (2-26-07).

    High School:
    Deadwiler is an all-state selection who lead South Mountain High School in Phoenix, Ariz., to its first state championship since 1992. As a 6-3, 175-pound combo-guard, Deadwiler led South Mountain with 21 points, five rebounds and six assists per game. He was an First-Team All-State selection and an Arizona Republic Honorable Mention All-State selection. He was the top scorer for South Mountain's run to the state title in 5A Division-II competition. He helped the team to a 29-4 record as the team averaged 81 points per game, tops in the state of Arizona. He led all scorers with 19 points in the state championship win over Deer Valley, 75-54. Showing his versatility, Deadwiler, while playing in this spring's Las Vegas Easter Classic, suffered a sprain in his left shooting wrist. He switched hands and shot the ball with his right hand, scoring better than 27 points in the tournament. He graduated in May of 2006 with a 3.45 GPA from South Mountain. He attended and played at Chandler High School for three seasons, earning all-league his sophomore and junior seasons.

    Shawn L. Deadwiler II was born in Glendale, Ariz., on Sept. 7, 1988. He is the son of Shawn L. Deadwiler and Valerie Wilcox-DelRosario. He has a younger sister. Played against teammate Mason Maynard in high school. He is a Business major.
