Showing its reach across the globe, LMU continued its tour while sending back some well wishes as they spent their final day in Madrid before flying to Barcelona on Sunday morning. The Lions had a full pre game practice, followed by the coaches participating in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. They then took on the Angola National Team, who is participating in the upcoming FIBA World Championships in Spain.

BRIEFLY... Simon Krajcovic is in his first season of college basketball at LMU in 2014-15... a native of Slovakia, Krajcovic is one of eight international players for the Lions. He last played basketball at Canarias Basketball Academy in Spain...From Coach Dunlap: "Simon has been playing on his countries national team for several years and has had the chance to play basketball against top teams from all over the world," said Dunlap. "He knows how to run a team. He is a very high-end assist man and can play out of the pick-and-roll at the highest level," said Dunlap. "We are excited to have Simon as a part of program and he is a important piece to our puzzle at the point guard position."

BEFORE LMU... For the last three years Krajcovic has attended Canarias Basketball Academy in the Canary Islands of Spain. With the program he has the opportunity to play in top prep school tournaments in the United States, including the 2013 National Prep Showcase in November and the 2014 National Prep School Invitational in February... At the NPSI this past February, he averaged 13.3 points, 7.3 assist and 2.3 steals per contest. He finished the tournament shooting 47.2 percent from the field. In the final game of the tournament, he scored 25 points against St. Thomas More... In addition, he helped lead Canarias to the F4 Championship in Spain this past April... In addition, he has more than four years of experience within the Slovak Republic national team program, playing at national events around the world... He played in the 2001-12 U18 European Championships, averaging 12.7 points per game, 5.7 rebounds and 7.4 assist in playing all seven games. He averaged nearly 32 minutes a game and ranked first in the tournament in both assists and steals per contest. His best game in the tournament came against Norway, going for one of his two double-doubles with 22 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. His other double-double was 13 points and 13 assists against Switzerland. The team with 5-2 in the tournament... Also Played for the Slovak Republic national team at the 2010-11 U16 Euro Challenge, playing all eight games and averaging just over 31 minuets a game. He averaged 17.5 points with 4.6 rebounds, 3.4 assist and 3.8 steals. His best game came with 24 points, six rebounds and seven steals against Bulgaria. The team with 5-3 in the tournament.

PERSONAL... Simon Kracjovic is a native of Slovakia... he is an undeclared Liberal Arts major.
