BRIEFLY... Trevor Manuel, a highly regarded product of Everett High School in Lansing, Mich., who played his first semester at Oregon, transferred to LMU and joined the Lions program to start the spring semester... he became eligible to compete as a sophomore for the Lions starting at the end of the Fall 2016 semester (December).

IN 2016-17... SOPHOMORE... Played first game for the Lions against Incarnate Word (12/17/16) and scored 14 points with six rebounds and four blocks. He has played 20 games for the Lions entering the WCC Tournament, averaging 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest... He scored a career-best 19 points in the first WCC game of the season against Saint Mary's (12/29/16) and had a career-best seven rebounds two days later against BYU (12/31/16). He finished with 16 points against the Cougars... He had 10 big points off the bench in win over USF in final home game of season.

BEFORE LMU... Manuel played nine games for the Ducks, scoring 10 points with nine rebounds.

HIGH SCHOOL... Manuel was a four-star recruit with a grade of 93 according to 247 Sports and 80 according to, who also rated him the No. 3 player out of the state of Michigan. As a senior, he played at Everett High School, the same program where his father (as well as NBA legend Magic Johnson) played. He went on to earn Class A All-State honors after averaging 21.9 points per game... Played his first two years of high school at Sexton High School, leading his team to the state championship his freshman year and making it to the regional round of the playoffs his sophomore year. He earned Class B All-State honors as a sophomore after averaging 12.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game for Sexton. He transferred to Oak Hill Academy for his junior season, a school that has produced notable players such as Carmelo Anthony and Brandon Jennings, and helped that school finish the year 41-4 and advance to the championship game of the Dick's National High School Tournament at Madison Square Garden.

PERSONAL... Trevor Manuel was born in Lansing, MI and is the son of Sue Phillips and James Manuel... has two sisters... has yet to declare a major.
