The last seven times that the Lions have beaten the Zags, it was in Gersten Pavilion.

Gonzaga enters the game ranked 19th in the country, and coming off a 40-point win on Thursday. The reigning national runner-ups rank in the top seven in the country in both scoring, rebound margin, and assists this season.

With all the numbers against LMU, the Lions do have pieces that can turn heads. James Batemon, the transfer point guard out of North Dakota College of Science, is leading the team with 17.8 points per game and ranks third in the WCC in that category.

Freshman Eli Scott is a perpetual double-double threat, averaging 13.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per contest.

Steven Haney, Jr., the team’s senior and captain continues to rise in the program’s record books. His 169 career threes are five away from cracking the all-time top-five.

All it takes is one night where over the course of 40 minutes, the additional factors are thrown out and the game is played on the hardwood.

On Saturday, a national audience will tune in to ESPNU and watch Loyola Marymount give Gonzaga all they have on their home court and in front of their Los Angeles crowd.

The game tips at 7 p.m. and the crimson pom poms will be here waiting for the first 1000 fans.
